"Zoë Heller was born in London in 1965 and now lives in New York. She started her career as a feature writer for the Independent on Sunday and she has since written for various magazines and newspapers including, the Telegraph, the New Yorker, the New Republic, Vanity Fair and the New York Review of Books. Her first novel, Everything You Know was published in 1999. Her second novel, Notes on a Scandal, published in 2003, was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and has been translated into 28 languages. It was adapted into an Oscar-nominated film, starring Judi Dench in 2006. Heller's latest novel, The Believers, was published in 2008.
